12 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Feb 18)
8. Different Type Of Champ
After capturing the Knockouts Championship from Taya Valkyrie last week, Jordynne Grace has already decided what sort of champion she was wanting to be - a fighting one, as she'll be defending her newly-won title against Havok at this weekend's Sacrifice event. 'Thicc Mama Pump' has been working in the business since the age of 14, so winning the championship of a major promotion is something that she's been working a long time to achieve.
Additionally, this makes her an entirely type of champion than what Valkyrie was. 'Wera Loca' wasn't necessarily known for being a fighting champion, instead choosing to use cheap tactics to ensure her title reign lasted as long as it did. She and Jordynne are two vastly different competitors, which is why Grace was a logical next step for the next champion.
Little things like this are why Impact's knockouts division is at an all-time high. The matches are almost always great, especially those on pay-per-view, and the competitors involved are truly sensational. With Jordynne Grace as the new champion, things can only get continuously better from here.
