12 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Feb 5)

7. Joe Spits Fire

Samoa Joe
WWE

Samoa Joe showed up backstage, moments after bludgeoning Mustafa Ali and Randy Orton at the conclusion of their singles match. You can probably tell how the ensuing promo went.

WWE's greatest male talker was beyond angry. He promised "an opposite and overwhelming reaction" for each action, said that last night was all about revenge, but Elimination Chamber will be something different. It'll be equal parts devastation, evisceration, and the justification of his means, culminating in him holding the WWE Championship high. "See you soon, boys," Joe said, and off he f*cked.

Joe was on the warpath last night, and this brief backstage snippet helped enhance everything else he did. It doesn't matter that the guy loses every big match he's placed in when he cuts promo this good. He regains his heat instantaneously, and never comes off as anything other than the most dangerous guy in the company, no matter his targets.
