12 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Full Gear

10. Britt Baker's Revenge

Any mistimed moments found within Bea Priestley vs. Britt Baker get a pass from this writer. There were a few of them throughout, but Baker worked the bout with a flu. Props to her for battling through and delivering a performance that peaked in all the right places.

The bout began with Priestley throwing her entrance jacket at her opponent as the opening bell rang. It was a stiff, attritional battle that felt every bit like a feud-ender, with Baker fired up, and Bea out to injure Britt by going for another concussion. She bludgeoned the babyface with stiff blows and wrapped her torso around the ring post, going for physicality above all else, and the duo looked like two people who were legitimately out to beat the tar out of each other. This transcends any flaws, and that the big moments got big crowd reactions marks it an objective success.

Britt's victory via Lockjaw should see her move onto bigger and better things. For Priestley, it's back to the drawing board after Awesome Kong's post-match beatdown and hair-snipping.
