12 Ups & 6 Downs From NJPW Best Of The Super Juniors 2019

3. Long Live The Death Rider

Moxley US Champ
New Japan World

Speaking of Moxley, NJPW nailed his presentation. The slow, stomping, guitar-driven entrance track rules, the nickname is perfect, and he's wearing trunks, not jeans. The man's mannerism's and movements were on-point, too. He looks like an absolute physical unit in this company and already feels like a star. This is going to be one hell of a run.

The newcomer brings something different. He couldn't have felt different from his time spent as a WWE rodeo clown, coming off like a violent give-no-f*cks scrapper with a legitimate aura of danger. That he has been able to wash off the Sports Entertainment stench so quickly is a huge triumph in itself, and his presence on future NJPW shows add variety to a company that desperately needed something to combat the oncoming staleness. Now, they have it.

Moxley' swagger was evident, his offence far more potent than Ambrose's pitter-patter bullsh*t, and he actually felt like a loose cannon. In this statement performance, he became the character the 'Lunatic Fringe' should've been all along.
