12 Ups And 15 Downs For WWE In 2017 (2nd Opinion)

7. Usos And New Day Rock Tag Division

It would be easy to call two of the more veteran tag teams in WWE over the hill, time-wise. The Usos and New Day have been around for several years now and have seen their popularity rise and fall. It would have been understandable to put both on the back burner, or even experiment with a breakup.

Instead, the two teams found each other and initiated a rivalry that reignited both groups. The Usos had become a resurgent team due to a complete character makeover, while New Day’s change of scenery and fresh matchups on SmackDown helped them immensely.

But their rivalry in 2017 was nothing short of fantastic, match-wise. Their Hell in a Cell tag title match was tremendous, and both teams finished the year as widely respected and well-regarded. They still sit at the top of a division that looks stronger with Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin and Rusev & Adrian English gaining in popularity. Throw in the reformed duo of Harper & Rowan and you have a tag division that could provide some memorable moments next year.
