12 Ups And 16 Downs For WWE In 2018

7. More McMahons

McMahon Family
WWE

Whenever business is down, there is one inevitable truth: WWE will always fall back on the McMahon Family as a solution.

And that’s exactly what happened earlier this month, when apparently two McMahons as commissioners of their respective brands weren’t enough. No, we needed Vince McMahon and Triple H to join the fray to help turn the tide an usher in a new era where things would be better. Really. They promise.

As with every “new direction” put forth, it remains to be seen over time whether it actually means something or if it’s just a fresh coat of paint on the same dilapidated structure. Will the McMahons actually take a backseat to the talent, or will we have multiple segments involving multiple McMahons every week?

We already know Shane McMahon will be an onscreen presence alongside The Miz, so that’s at least one McMahon on TV every week.
