13. Lashley’s ‘Sisters’

This is about more than a horrible segment involving Bobby Lashley, Sami Zayn and three men posing as Lashley’s sisters, but that incident summed up an ill-fated return.

Lashley returned to WWE after a 10-year hiatus in April, but didn’t have much going on in the early weeks. But nothing might have been better than what we got. Bobby entered a feud with Sami Zayn that went nowhere. Lashley gave the blandest interview possible with Renee Young where he talked about his three sisters, so Zayn brought out three local wrestlers dressed in drag pretending to be the sisters. It was a godawful segment.

After that heatless feud, Lashley would bounce around from meaningless feud to meaningless feud, before turning heel this fall to finally find a semblance of a purpose. Even then, it’s been a slog at times, as he hasn’t seriously competed for a title during his return, and now is more concerned about showing his butt to the crowd than anything else.
