12 Ups And 22 Downs For WWE In 2015

4. Dependency On Part-Timers

One of the biggest problems that has been cropping up for WWE in recent years is the company€™s increasing reliance on part-time wrestlers to fill top slots. It€™s one complaint that erstwhile superstar CM Punk leveled against WWE that really holds water. Look at all the marquee matches that have taken place at WrestleMania in recent years. Who has occupied those spots? Brock Lesnar, Undertaker, Triple H, Batista, Sting and the Rock all have been the major draws the past three years. Outside of John Cena, Daniel Bryan and now Roman Reigns (and Seth Rollins), who else from the fulltime roster has been thrust into the spotlight? As much as WWE has seemingly tried to get away from having individuals be bigger that the WWE brand, it has only served to hurt the product overall. Part-timers like Lesnar, Triple H, Rock and Undertaker all are treated as being head-and-shoulders above 99% of the current roster, which does nothing to help elevate the next generation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eivGJZGs2jo Without WWE making new stars to be the draws for the next decade-plus, the company€™s problems are only going to get worse.
