The Revival

It’s really tough to put a finger on what WWE brass thinks of The Revival. They’ve had numerous stop-and-start pushes since being called up to the main roster. They were paired with Shane McMahon for a while this summer. And now they’re partnered with Randy Orton.

Sunday, The Revival defeated the New Day for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, becoming the first team to hold the NXT, Raw and SmackDown tag titles. They also did it in brutal fashion, taking Big E out of the match and then destroying Xavier Woods. They certainly looked like top guys in charge of the tag team division.

But we’ve seen this happen before with Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson. We’ve seen them be the butt of “jokes” in feuds, lose to Lucha House Party repeatedly and be otherwise humiliated. So is this really a turning point for The Revival?

Sunday looked pretty good for them though.
