12 Ways WWE Would Have Different If Brock Lesnar Hadn't Quit
11. Wins Title Back From Eddie Guerrero And Maintains Smackdown's Popularity
There's only one place to go after beating a major name like Bill Goldberg, and that's back to the WWE Title scene. The next Smackdown pay per view after Mania 20 was May's Judgement Day. Due to Lesnar quitting, the WWE were stuck with a lack of heel opponents for Champion Eddie Guerrero, so Bradshaw was made a heel and became the challenger. That never would've happened if Lesnar had stayed. He'd have been the one going for the title that he lost to Eddie just a month before Mania 20. The result would have been a DQ at Judgement Day, enabling Eddie to continue his title run a little longer. But by The Great American Bash in June (where JBL ended Eddie's reign), it would be Lesnar triumphing and getting the WWE title back. Eddie and an array of other babyfaces would have challenged heel champion Lesnar throughout the rest of 2004, which would have helped to maintain Smackdown's popularity in television viewership. Instead, with Lesnar gone from the company, JBL reigned for almost a year, causing Smackdown's popularity to shrink.
