12 Ways WWE Would Have Different If Brock Lesnar Hadn't Quit

6. Feud With Orton

The summer of 2006 would be the time to put Brock Lesnar against Randy Orton. It would definitely be a better feud than the lame Hulk Hogan mess that Randy had to endure that year, which culminated in a measly 11 minute match at SummerSlam. Instead, WWE could have been tempted to do Orton and Lesnar in a high stakes feud for the August show. It wouldn't even necessarily need the belt, as both would be big names and it'd be a first time ever. It is in fact a match that fans have never seen to this day. They worked together in OVW and had some early Smackdown / dark matches, but never in their main WWE careers. As a first time ever, there's still definitely some value in doing it one day. But back to the alternate 2006, Orton would be the cowardly heel going against the retribution of Lesnar's powerful force. It'd give them months worth of good pay per view matches, in which both men could get over in exchanging victories.
