Of all the factions from the Attitude Era, D-Generation X was the one that truly had no place returning in a PG environment.

From the moment the group made their debut in 1997 they were known for their vulgarity, their lewdness. The highly-sexualised and offensive faction were made for the Attitude Era.

The PG Era? Oh lord. The group re-united in 2009, and despite the mass of merchandise I presume they shifted the run isn't remembered fondly by many.

The low point (no, not a pun) was their mistreatment of DX-mega fan Hornswoggle, treatment which saw Shawn Michaels and Triple H were served with subpoenas to stand before Little People's Court.

In the PG Era WWE has taken an extremely childish approach to much of its humour, and this was a particularly shoddy example of that. It dragged, and dragged and dragged, and did nothing but reinforce the image that WWE finds dwarfism funny.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
