13 Wrestlers Subjected To Heat From The Undertaker

10. Shawn Michaels

Another part of the Montreal Screwjob was Shawn Michaels, but that wasn't the only reason The Undertaker had heat with HBK. Everything about Michaels was loathsome in that 97-98 period. He was arrogant and selfish, making no secret of his desire to join his buddies Scott Hall and Kevin Nash in WCW. Yet McMahon kept pushing Michaels, allowing him to do pretty much as he pleased. Whether it was causing backstage drama with Bret, or dropping out of WrestleMania 13 "injured" in the month before, Michaels did little to endear himself to Undertaker. "Back then, Mark didn't like me," Michaels recently told Sports Illustrated. One rumour was that the heat almost reached a physical point, with Taker taping his fists up and threatening Michaels before WrestleMania 14. The fear was that Michaels wouldn't do a job for Steve Austin, so Taker just wanted to make sure there'd be no messing. In a positive ending to this story, Taker and Michaels became firm friends during the heartbreak kid's 2002-2010 run with WWE.
