12 Wrestlers Who Suffered The Most From WWE WrestleMania 36
2. Roman Reigns
You could argue that Roman Reigns didn't really do anything to earn his spot in the Universal Championship main event at WrestleMania 36, as he was simply handed the opportunity after deciding to confront Goldberg on the SmackDown after Super Showdown.
Yet, after we got over the contrived set-up, most fans were actually onboard with the idea of the 'The Big Dog' taking down 'Da Man' and even welcomed the sight of Reigns holding the blue strap on Friday night's for the foreseeable future.
That's why it was quite devastating when Reigns suddenly made the decision to back out of his most recent 'Mania main event clash due to being classed as vulnerable in this current global situation.
For the first time in, well, forever, the majority of fans were actually backing Reigns to win the big one and it would have been a lovely moment to see him return to the top of the mountain just over a year since he came back from a life-threatening battle with leukaemia.
Strowman was instead given the green light and walked out of 'Mania 36 with the Universal title and Reigns was deprived of what could have been his first widely celebrated world title win of his career.
