10. NXT Is Superior To The Main Roster

The sole purpose of NXT is to help prepare fledgling stars for the main shows such as Raw and Smackdown. Born out of the old developmental systems - such as OVW and FCW - NXT has gone on to become a successful brand in its own right. The fact that WWE are promoting NXT shows in the UK (ones that tickets are selling very well for) is quite clearly an overwhelming sign of how over that portion of the product is. A lot of current wrestling fans favour the NXT program over everything else WWE presents. On one level, that's a real indication of the great job the company have done with the brand. On the other, it's a damning verdict of what can be found elsewhere across the WWE product. In other words, is it wise to have a system in place where the feeder program is deemed better than the promised land? Everyone on NXT should be aspiring to be on the main roster. As sure as wrestlers must think that way, WWE should be doing everything they can to convince fans that this is worthy objective. Instead, the promotion are fostering an environment whereby hardcore wrestling fans prefer NXT. This doesn't sit well with more casual viewers, who think Raw and Smackdown should always be the focus.
