12 WWE Matches We Must See In The Next 12 Months
8. Samoa Joe Vs. Kevin Owens
When Samoa Joe first debuted in NXT, he got face to face with Kevin Owens, forcing the then-NXT Champ to back off from delivering a beating to Sami Zayn. The two eventually did fight, but the bout went to a no-contest. Shortly after that, Owens joined WWE's main roster and there was no resolution.
Today, Joe is also a heel, and he's currently NXT Champion. He's every bit as dominant, opportunistic, and mean as Owens was (and still is), and like "The Prizefighter," he mixes size and strength with incredible athleticism and precision to put on amazing matches.
The prospect of another bout between the two big men is too attractive to pass up. A babyface turn isn't even necessary - Joe and Owens are such respected brawlers that just building up a heel versus heel program between them is enough to get fans excited. After all, they'll know what to expect.
The fists will be flying, but so will bodies - Joe can bust out a flying kick, while Owens will probably have to use a moonsault or two. It's also hard to imagine a single finisher ending the contest. In the end, expect a true fight and a happy crowd.
