12 WWE PPV Buys In 2015 Ranked (And What They Mean)
4. Hell In A Cell - 87,000 Buys
The Hell In A Cell pay per view weighed in with an impressive 87,000 buys, making it the most successful B PPV of the last year. Credit for that is down to Brock Lesnar versus The Undertaker, which was taking place in the always intriguing cell gimmick. Add in the fact that it was marketed as the final meeting of their recent trilogy, and you can see why this PPV had extra appeal. Also on the card was John Cena defending against a mystery opponent, which may have held some appeal to buyers. Certainly in the build, there were a lot of rumours flying around who the opponent would be. It ended up being Alberto Del Rio, of course. The cell match between Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt may also have generated some extra buys. As for the Seth Rollins versus Kane bout, that had been built up and teased all year. It may well have drawn some buys, too. But really, Lesnar and Taker were the stars of this show. Two big name draws, put against each other, equals money. It was an excellent match, too, a truly fitting finale to their feud.
