12 WWE PPVs With Two Great World Title Matches
3. Money In The Bank 2011 (Randy Orton Vs. Christian; John Cena Vs. CM Punk)
When people think about this fantastic WWE PPV, the five-star WWE Championship classic (as rated by Dave Meltzer) between John Cena and CM Punk quickly comes to mind.
However, SmackDown's storyline over the World Heavyweight Championship between Randy Orton and Christian was also really good.
The two would wrestle a great match over the Big Gold Belt before the goofy finish where Orton kicked Christian right in the balls, losing the title as per the pre-match stip. However, that was just fine because it was all leading to SummerSlam and, not to mention, this night was far from over...
During the main-event, the Chicago fans saw a match and a moment they will never forget as long as they live.
In front of a VERY passionate crowd, hometown hero CM Punk defeated John Cena for the WWE Championship after a great bit of drama and storytelling, where Vince McMahon teased screwing Punk out of the gold by having John Laurinaitis ring the bell, which Cena wouldn't allow to happen.
However, just as 'The Champ' entered the ring, Punk connected with a vicious GTS and scored the pinfall victory as the Allstate Arena nearly came down.
