12 WWE PPVs With Two Great World Title Matches
4. WrestleMania XXVI (Chris Jericho Vs. Edge; Batista Vs. John Cena)
Ultimately, WrestleMania XXV was a bit disappointing - outside of *that* classic match. One that turned out to be much better, however, was the following year's 'Show of Shows'.
This time, WWE smartly booked Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker in the main-event, allowing the other matches, including both World Title bouts, to shine earlier on in the card.
Chris Jericho, who had just won the gold the prior month from 'The Deadman' thanks to HBK, defended his World Heavyweight Championship against his former partner, Edge. The two wrestled a clinic full of psychology, with Jericho even stomping on Edge's injured Achilles tendon, before he cheated to retain.
Meanwhile, five years after both guys had won their first World Titles at WrestleMania 21, John Cena and Batista clashed for the first and only time at a WrestleMania over RAW's WWE Championship.
In a bout that lasted less than 15 minutes, the two showed they had great chemistry, doing some incredible reversals to each other's signature moves.
Eventually, it was Cena who grabbed Batista's ankle during a Batista Bomb attempt, took him to the ground and rolled him over, before locking him in the STF and forcing Dave to submit.
