12 WWE PPVs With TWO Unsatisfactory World Title Matches

2. Greatest Royal Rumble 2018 (Brock Lesnar Vs. Roman Reigns; AJ Styles Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura)

The Greatest Royal Rumble event in April 2018 was nothing more than a glorified house show in Saudi Arabia, and proof of that was the fact that both WWE and Universal Title matches were the same as WrestleMania 34.

Sure, WrestleMania 34 itself would be a worthy entry when it comes to pay-per-views with unsatisfactory World Championship matches, but there would be no point in adding two entries with the very same matches. The Greatest Royal Rumble was really f*cking pointless, so we went with it.

First on the card came the WrestleMania rematch (the first of three...) between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship. The in-ring match itself was very good, but the finish was awful and only helped in delaying the payoff even further.

The main event between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns was equally pointless and worse in the ring, featuring a very strange finish. Reigns speared 'The Beast' through the cage and thought he'd won the strap, only for the referee to declare Lesnar won since his feet hit the floor first, delaying the payoff to SummerSlam. Notice a pattern here?
