12 WWE PPVs With TWO Unsatisfactory World Title Matches
1. Super ShowDown 2020 (Brock Lesnar Vs. Ricochet; The Fiend Vs. Goldberg)
Ricochet punched his ticket to a rare WWE Championship match with Brock Lesnar on pay-per-view after the low-blow that allowed Drew McIntyre to eliminate 'The Beast' in that year's Royal Rumble Match. There's not much to say about the actual match itself, though, as Ricochet did a grand total of zero moves to the champion and got completely jobbed out to Lesnar, who was on his way to McIntyre at WrestleMania.
However, there is A LOT to say about the Universal Championship match from that show. The Fiend walked into the event as the reigning champion against Goldberg and dropped the belt after a two-minute match that ended with a very weak Jackhammer which looked more like a suplex.
Goldberg was supposed to wrestle Roman Reigns for the belt at WrestleMania 36, who eventually got replaced by Braun Strowman when COVID-19 ran roughshod over the world. Not only was this title reign beyond unnecessary, but it also hurt The Fiend and the character hasn't been as interesting ever since.
