12 WWE PPVs With TWO Unsatisfactory World Title Matches
8. Survivor Series 2008 (Triple H Vs. Vladimir Kozlov; Chris Jericho Vs. John Cena)
'Super Cena', back sooner than expected from yet another serious injury!
After hurting his shoulder at the hands of Batista during their big clash at SummerSlam, John Cena made his return (again) to challenge Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series.
Jericho, who was coming off a terrific feud with Shawn Michaels over the belt, immediately dropped the belt to 'The Champ' in a one-sided match via submission. The two would have a better bout the following month at Armageddon.
And over on SmackDown, Vladimir Kozlov. That pretty much tells the whole story, doesn't it?
Kozlov made his debut in 2008, spending a couple of months destroying jobbers in two-minute squash matches on TV before suddenly being pushed into a WWE Championship program with Triple H. To say Kozlov wasn't ready would be putting it mildly, as he and Hunter had a really bad match at this event.
You remember Edge's run-in near the end and him stealing another WWE Championship, but if you ever consider watching the whole match that came previously... please think again!
