12 WWE Superstars Who Weren’t Drafted (And Why)

9. Shanky

Before the Draft, this writer would've had big Shanky down for a guaranteed spot in the afterthought supplemental mix. He didn't even get that distinction, and hasn't been spotted since the 22 July 2022 edition of SmackDown. WWE seems to have forgotten about his union with pal Jinder Mahal too.

Jinder was drafted from NXT > Raw alongside Indus Sher this year, so it looks like creative has moved on from Mahal telling Shanky to stop dancing. The world shall mourn such a loss to the product. OK, not really. Obviously! That was dull as f*ck anyway, and everyone knew it.

Shanky is just sitting around twiddling his thumbs waiting for a call from higher-ups then. The fact he wasn't on the free agency list could be considered concerning for the big man. Does he have a future on this roster, or should he start looking beyond WWE?

Only time will tell on that one.
