12 WWE Superstars Who Weren’t Drafted (And Why)

8. Aliyah

Former Women's Tag Team Champion and resident Maria Kanellis' ditzy gimmick 2K23 Aliyah has been posted missing for a while now. She hasn't shown up on TV since September last year, and isn't even in a tag team with Raquel Rodriguez anymore; Raquel has since moved on to teaming with Liv Morgan, and has been drafted to Raw.

Aliyah wasn't even mentioned in the Draft.

Here's the odd thing: There are no injury reports doing the rounds about her, and nobody's really sure why she's been absent from TV for so long. Perhaps WWE just didn't like what they were seeing after promoting Aliyah from NXT to SmackDown in the 2021 Draft.

The lack of a free agency spot should also worry her fans. It's a damning commentary on the Women's Tag Team Title division that a former champ like Aliyah has gone AWOL without much warning. Surely, surely she'll be back on telly doing something else soon-ish.
