12 WWE Superstars Without Direction Following WrestleMania 33

3. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins did everything he promised he would do at WrestleMania 33, fighting back from an injured knee to 'slay the king' and defeat Triple H on the biggest night of the year.

The late knock inadvertently crafted a new arc for the story in its latter stages, and gave Rollins the babyface momentum he desperately needed following a lukewarm turn shortly after 'The Game' gifted Kevin Owens the Universal Title at his expense.

Admitting regret at ever taking the Authority shortcut in 2014, Rollins showed rare humility for a WWE babyface, and unlocked an endearing quality crucially missing in the weeks prior.

The quest to destroy the 'Creator' has been long and arduous though, and in the wake of his victory, the path ahead is unclear.

Main eventing the post-WrestleMania edition of Monday Night Raw alongside uneasy ally Finn Balor implied he would remain at the top of the card, but an immediate run at new Universal Champion Brock Lesnar seems unlikely at this point.

Left tackling Triple H surrogates Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe, Rollins' newfound momentum will stutter quickly unless something brand new emerges for him to sink his teeth into.
