12 WWE Superstars Without Direction Following WrestleMania 33

2. The New Day

Adorned with literal bells and whistles as they made their Final Fantasy-inspired entrance for 'Guest Host' duties at WrestleMania, The New Day were somehow even less relevant on the show than many would have assumed.

The position appeared to be a gift to the triumvirate as a thanks for carrying the tag team division during their 18-month reign as champions.

It can't have gone without notice that the group haven't had a significant programme since losing the titles back in December, but the expected multiple segments in lieu of a match was sure to ramp up their exposure on the grandest stage.

It was not the case.

The group appeared three times on the 5-plus hour extravaganza, bookending the shows with a listless introduction and attendance announcement alongside a white hot Hardy Boyz reveal that belonged solely to the North Carolinian duo.

They didn't even pay off the throwaway 'New Day Pops' story designed to fill time on Raw, with the ice cream wagon getting far more attention when The Revival kicked it over the following night.

Even a switch to the blue brand may not save their flagging fortunes without a heel turn or a split somewhere soon, but enough is enough, and it's time for a change.
