12 WWE Superstars Without Direction Following WrestleMania 33

5. Mojo Rawley

The Andre The Giant Battle Royal trophy is less of a poisoned chalice and more of a magnanimous gesture, with all three previous winners suffering creative feast nor famine in the aftermath of their victories.

Mojo Rawley's shocking win on WrestleMania 33's pre-show was of course designed for the mainstream media beauty shots of 2017 Superbowl winner Rob Gronkowski celebrating with his real-life friend at the conclusion of the encounter.

However, WWE owe it to the former 'Hype Bro' to make something of the win, and his appearance on the post-WrestleMania Smackdown Live! did little to extenuate the few positives in his game.

Appearing only briefly alongside the trophy to cut a muddled promo that dithered between serious and stupid, Rawley was given nothing to build on something WWE were advertising on commentary as a 'WrestleMania moment'.

Rawley had quietly reinvented himself several weeks ago via an engaging promo on Talking Smack, but the main Smackdown Live! broadcast wasn't quite the 'land of opportunity' for the former NFL defensive lineman.

Of all the flailing talents on the show, Mojo would probably suit the move to Raw best. As a talent, he's all over the place, but the elevated 'A Show' platform may suit his bombastic pomp.
