13 Classic Matches That Should Have Happened At WrestleMania

2. Hulk Hogan vs. €œStone Cold€ Steve Austin €“ WrestleMania 19

Stone Cold Vs Hulk Hogan The pieces were also in place at WrestleMania 19 for Hulk Hogan to have the fantasy match of a lifetime with €œStone Cold€ Steve Austin. While it was originally proposed for WrestleMania 18 and shot down by Austin, they could have gotten their act together to give fans that battle in Seattle. Instead, Austin wrestled The Rock in a classic that turned out to be the last match of Stone Cold€™s career. Hogan wrestled Vince McMahon in what turned out to be the last WrestleMania match of The Hulkster€™s career. Both were outstanding performances. It€™s just a shame to know that this was the night the window closed on Hogan vs. Austin. Reasons as to why the match didn€™t materialize remain dubious. Austin himself has said that he didn€™t think it would be that good based on where they were physically. Hogan proved that wrong in his matches against The Rock and Mr. McMahon. If it came down to an argument as to who would win, then it would be terrible to know fans never got to see it over something that wouldn€™t have hurt either guy.
