13 Classic Matches That Should Have Happened At WrestleMania

13. Matt Hardy vs. MVP €“ United States Championship €“ WrestleMania 24

On a July 2007 episode of Smackdown, Matt Hardy kicked off a bitter rivalry with United States Champion MVP when he pinned him in a non-title match. In a fun series of competitions, MVP declared he was €œbetter than Matt Hardy at everything.€ The two traded wins in various feats of athletic skill until MVP was diagnosed with a heart condition that kept him out of action. To throw fans a curveball, after MVP was cleared to compete, he and Hardy won the WWE Tag Team Championship as the unlikeliest of teams. When they dropped the titles, the feud jumped to another level with MVP putting Hardy on the shelf with a vicious attack. Shortly thereafter, Hardy legitimately suffered a burst appendix, keeping him out of action from November until March 1st. Hardy was cleared to return to wrestling, but WWE kept him off TV until he interfered in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania 24 to attack MVP. So if Hardy was cleared a month before the biggest show of the year, why didn€™t they pull the trigger and give fans the match they had been working toward for over eight months?
