5. Chris Jericho
WWE Undisputed Champion 3-time World Heavyweight Champion 2-time WCW Champion 9-time Intercontinental Champion If a man is a legend based on the number of names he is known by, than Chris Jericho will be regarded as one of the greatest legends in the history of professional wrestling. Though now his versatility as a performer has seen him having to spend time both in TV and as lead singer of Fozzy, the allure of wrestling has always brought him back to the WWE. Jericho began his career in 1990, after graduating from the prestigious Hart Dungeon. He grew immensely as a performer by travelling the globe to wrestle in America, Japan, Mexico and Europe, before his time in ECW was able to make him a must-see performer with numerous strings to his own bow. His time in WCW made him one of the stars of the Cruiserweight division and honed his skills as a charismatic and despicable heel. But, it was his move to WWE that has garnered the esteem that he is now held in among both fans and fellow wrestlers. A gifted technician, capable high-flyer, submission specialist and tremendous on the microphone, Jericho has all the goods to become a benchmark for all other competitors. His WWE career started innocuously enough, but soon he won his first Intercontinental Championship, the title that he has held more than any other person in history. He has won every Championship that he has challenged for, and in 2001 would climb to the top of the mountain by beating The Rock and Stone Cold in the same evening to win the WWE Undisputed Championship. But, whilst his greatest victories have been impressive, his willingness to put over aspiring main-eventers has made him a highly respected member of the locker room. Jericho's initial run as the hyperactive and charismatic Y2J was great as both a face and heel, as he was always an entertaining component of every show he was a part of. However, it was his magnificent run as the cold, calculating heel from 2008 until 2010 that transcended his previous run and transformed him into the Best in the World at what he does. Jericho has been able to have great feuds and partnerships with every superstar that he has come up against. Edge, Christian, The Big Show, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, John Cena, The Rock and The Undertaker are certainly some of the best matches he has had. Nonetheless, his feud with the legendary Shawn Michaels provided some of the most fluid technical masterpieces in WWE history, as both their styles were able to mesh with tremendous results. Jericho is certain of a spot in the Hall of Fame, and in many people's mind will enter in the same stature as Michaels, Bret Hart and Ric Flair as one of the best to ever take a place in the hall.
