13 Current WWE Superstars Destined For The Hall Of Fame

12. The Big Show

Big Show 2-time WWE Champion 2-time World Heavyweight Champion ECW Champion 2-time WCW World Champion The greatest 'big-man' wrestler in wrestling history has often been regarded as Andre the Giant, and fairly so. The very presence of the man made him an unbeatable draw, and his in-ring ability was impressive due to his various limitations. However, I feel that if a wrestler now sets the benchmark for the ideal super-heavyweight, it is the Big Show. Paul Wight on his first night in WCW won their World Championship, and would set in motion an impressive career path for the giant superstar. When he signed with WWE in 1999, his dominant size and strength was a remarkable sight for the fans, and this was coupled with a surprising degree of speed and agility in the ring. He would again make quick work of winning the top championship at Survivor Series 1999, and also main-evented Wrestlemania 2000. However, it became apparent to the company that he still had some work to do, and Show worked hard to improve his physique and ring-craft. Though he returned in 2001, it was not until becoming a part of Smackdown in 2002 where Big Show once again began to flourish as a emphatic powerhouse, and 2003 saw some of his greatest in-ring work with the likes of Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero. Show's size and power made him an obvious threat in the ring, but he was also able to show his own personality throughout this time as well. Whether it was a loveable giant with good comedic timing, or as the aggressive and dominant monster, he was able to portray his character effectively to the audience. He was able to have a strong run as ECW Champion in 2006, before he was released from his contract the following year. He returned in 2008 slimmer, but still just as aggressive, and would often slide between being a imperious giant and being a talent enhancer due to his seniority and the admiration he had already earned from the crowd. His much anticipated feud with Floyd Mayweather Jr. was a major draw of Wrestlemania 24, and introduced the Knockout Punch finisher that he continues to employ to this day. Show was still often seen in the title picture, and would go on to win two more World Championships in the twilight of his career, and despite being 41 years of age, continues to impress the audience with feats of strength and skill as the WWE's resident giant. His reputation and growth as a competitor whilst in WWE has more than merited a spot in the Hall of Fame, and the only question is will they be able to craft a ring large enough to fit upon on of his gigantic fingers.
