13 Current WWE Superstars Destined For The Hall Of Fame

10. Hornswoggle

And this is not a joke entry. I wish it was a joke entry. It is a very real possibility that Hornswoggle will become a part of the WWE Hall of Fame. It is remarkable to think that he has been part of the WWE since 2006, when he debuted as the leprechaun sidekick of Irish brawler Finlay. At this point, Hornswoggle was an excellent novelty act that would become a major feature of Finlay's matches, and in some way he developed his own appeal to the fans by living under the ring and interfering in other superstars' matches. He also had some match success against smaller superstars with his Tadpole Splash. This led to him winning a Cruiserweight Open Match as he entered from under the ring and pinned a downed superstar, and bears the burden of being the final champion before the belt's retirement in 2007. Furthermore, Hornswoggle was also the focal point of the infamous 'McMahon Illegitimate Son' angle, where he was revealed as the Chairman's love-child, in one of the biggest WTF moments in company history. The attempt at the WWE to shock its audience overawed the need for a compelling and attractive story, and it was soon brushed under the table as one of the many mistaken storylines. Hornswoggle has since been a regular comedic element of the PG era, appearing in Royal Rumbles, battle royals and gimmick matches, and was recently granted a magical wish by Saint Mick which has allowed him to speak on television. Oh and he was also revealed as the anonymous General Manager of Raw, showing that the company had no real idea about the story, so they roped in their fail-safe. Though his prominence on television has not been entirely endearing to the older section of the WWE's fanbase, his tenure has been notable. Due to his continued presence, it seems highly probable that Hornswoggle could soon fill a spot in the Hall of Fame. A very small spot.
