Again, perhaps I’m letting personal bias creep into my ranking of this one, but surely I can’t be the only one who looks back at the 2001 Survivor Series so fondly?

Here we had the ultimate Winner Take All match; Team WWF versus the Alliance, after a months-long feud between the WWF and the invading WCW and ECW group. Admittedly there were countless flaws with the overarching angle, but the final match itself was a worthy war to settle the score.

Team WWF were of course victorious, as the Rock pinned a defected Stone Cold Steve Austin after Kurt Angle had interfered, betraying the Alliance and turning on his team captain Austin. The twists and turns of this particular match were perfectly executed in my book, giving you all the drama that you could possible want from a pro wrestling contest.

Admittedly, had I been older than nine at the time, I’d likely have thought this match—much like the watered-down angle itself—was a bit silly. But at the time I was so immersed in the story that it didn’t matter, ensuring this one will go down as my own personal Survivor Series highlights and one of the most epic finales in the PPV's history.

Do let me know in the comments below if you happen to disagree, and feel free share you own personal Survivor Series highlights. Remember though, we’re only really after great moments, so let’s lay off the Montreal Screwjob for today…
