Common sense has coalesced with panic ahead of Kurt Angle's last ever encounter.

Announcing Baron Corbin as his hand-picked last opponent forced many to wonder aloud if he'd fallen off the wagon - the news landed with an audible and palpable thud, crushing the dreams of everybody who'd hoped for a bigger name than Raw's former Contstable.

Was that the point?

John Cena may yet be the real opponent, unadvertised as an addendum to insist Angle show himself and his fans some respect with a match to remember rather than a 'Show Of Shows' squash. Either way, the Olympian can go over. Tradition dictates that he should be examining the WrestleMania lights, but Kurt's been bucking that since he made his debut.

Winner - Kurt Angle
