13 Things We Learned From DDP On The Steve Austin Show Part 2
10. Wrestlers & The Club Scene
Before breaking into wrestling DDP was running a club in Fort Meyers, Florida that he calls "the hottest spot from Sarasota to Cuba. One night he's sitting in the office working while periodically glancing at the cameras and he sees a guy who looks like Jake Roberts entering the club. He asks one of his employees if it was Jake, who wasn't sure but thought so, so DDP went to find out for himself. Turns out that it was, and after a quick introduction the two became drinking buddies. The location of the club was along a frequently traveled route for the wrestlers and Jake would stop in a lot since "he had some mark who runs this club where he drinks for free." Page says that Ted DiBiase would come in often as well, adding that he's got some pictures of The Million Dollar Man that he swore he'd never show. In addition to those two, he also became good friends with Luke Williams from The Bushwhackers.
