13 Things We Learned From DDP On The Steve Austin Show Part 2
9. Where He Got His Name
DDP - whose real name is Page Falkinburg - was known around the club as Page J. His father's name is also Page, and at the time he was working at the club so they referred to them as Page One and Page J (presumably for Junior). "Dallas" came from the fact that he was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan as a kid, and while he hated the name Page Two he always liked the names Page and Dallas. When he started trying to break into wrestling he went by the name "Handsome" Dallas Page due to his appreciation for "Handsome" Jimmy Valiant. Eventually "Handsome" morphed into "Diamond" and he had already thought up the gimmick of The Diamond Exchange before he ever made any inroads toward getting into the industry.
