13 Things We Learned From Finn Balor On Talk Is Jericho

6. NXT

"Having NXT...I guess if I had've came to WWE and just wnt straight into developmental and been left to kinda...I don't want to say rot, but figure it out down at the performance center and not been given that outlet to perform in front of people, it would've been really, really difficult. And even like, the first two months at the performance center, the first month I wasn't even allowed in the ring. I just had to sit out and watch people rolling."
Balor says the thought process is to help people adjust and get comfortable with the new environment, but he was itching to get in the ring and due his thing. He then says that he wasn't booked on any shows for the first two months and said it was the longest he'd had off in six years. Then Jericho adds that it was also "Probably the most money you'd ever made", to which Finn gives a nervous laugh and continues on, which speaks to the speculation that he took a massive pay cut to leave Japan and come to NXT, something Chris probably wasn't aware of. He praises the promotion for the freedom their given and for how hands on everyone is.
