13 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Feb 12)

Ups…

13. Hit Him Up, Sammy

Following on from the previous week's flamethrowing session with another gritty vignette was Darby Allin, who aped Sammy Guevara's commercial break card presentations with one of his own.

This was good, effective stuff. In "smashing my throat with the skateboard," Allin said Sammy had made a mistake and that sooner or later, "I'll find ya." The conclusion was a challenge for Revolution. Via card, Darby asked if Guevara if he was busy at the pay-per-view and signed off with a little "hit me up" a la the Inner Circle man himself, setting up his next big programme.

Darby could be heard struggling to breathe throughout all of this, a consequence of his injuries, which the announcers explained were much worse than originally thought - hence his absence. Nobody knows what he's coming back, apparently, but stuff like this keeps him relevant.
