13 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Nov 27)

3. A Bad Look

AEW Women's Rankings
AEW

AEW have to push and promote their ranking system as a unique selling point and should where appropriate, though lingering on the women's division standings prior to Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander vs. Emi Sakura and Bea Priestley highlighted the division's shortcomings.

Shida's 3-1 record looks solid at number one and Britt Baker's 3-2 isn't bad either. Beneath them are a felled pay-per-view challenger on 1-1 and Nyla Rose and Allie, both of whom have negative records, yet they're still positioned as top five competitors. That's weak.

These wrestlers have to be there on the basis of the numbers alone, but it shows that AEW, for all their good points, haven't done a great job of building up credible challengers for Riho, who has already defeated everyone in the top four. That January reset can't come soon enough.
