5. Wade Barrett Dislocates His Elbow

This is a nasty one from a ten-man battle royal on RAW in February 2012 €“ as we move beyond the hilarious and into the just plain agonising. Big Show presses Dolph Ziggler over his head (badly, from all appearances) and hurls him to ringside. R-Truth and Wade Barrett are there to catch Ziggler and break his fall, and true to form Ziggler sells the landing as if the commission will feed his children. Truth seems fine, but Barrett is bucking and slamming the floor like a madman, and you can definitely hear him swearing like the Preston boy he is. It transpired that, whether caused by the fall or by failing to catch Ziggler correctly, or by Ziggler overshooting the two men€ however it occurred, Barrett had partially dislocated his elbow, and required surgery. Fortunately, Barrett would make a recovery and return to the ring six months or so later. Even more fortunately, his best gimmick €“ as Bad News Barrett €“ was still ahead of him, although he€™s once again sidelined through injury. Perhaps they should rename him €˜Bad Luck€™ Barrett.
