13 Wrestlers In Situations That Scared The Sh*t Out Of Them

8. Kurt Angle And Daniel Puder Take It Too Seriously

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_12qn29WKA This situation played out two-fold. On the one hand you had Kurt Angle locked in a shoot armbar and s**t scared that his arm was about to snap. On the other hand you had the kid applying the armbar, Daniel Puder, s**t scared over the trouble he was about get get in backstage for having the cheek to pull such a move. It was all part of 2004's million dollar Tough Enough competition on Smackdown. Kurt Angle was calling the students into the ring for a 'wrestle'. It wasn't scripted, but it was pretty much a given that the Olympian would just put these kids on their back and roll them out of the ring. First up was Chris Nawrocki, who Angle quickly put down, breaking the kid's ribs in the process. Then came Puder, the young man with some basic MMA experience. Common sense said that you'd just take your lumps off Angle and be done. Not Puder. He got in the ring and slapped on a kimura, bending Angle's arm close to breaking point. What could Kurt do? If he tapped he'd look a joke. The panic was palpable and the referee quickly ended it by counting Puder's shoulders down (even though they weren't). Angle then got up and went ballistic. That's when it must have sunk in for Puder how dumb this was. Can you imagine the slow walk backstage, waiting to be chewed out by Vince McMahon and the irate Angle?
