13 WWE Extreme Rules 2019 Impulse Reactions

8. Bayley (c) Vs. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross

Few more than your writer wanted Bayley and Alexa Bliss to show off their old NXT chemistry on a main roster pay-per-view in 2019, but it may be high time now for 'Little Miss Bliss' to spin off into her planned programme with Nikki Cross rather than yet again hassling the SmackDown Women's Champion for another title shot.

The two didn't really click - sigh, again - at Extreme Rules, though the handicap match didn't descend into farce at least. The pleasing opposite in fact; Bayley made her own saves, discovered double submissions and blind dives, and even shook off taking a face full of steel steps before pinning Cross without Bliss to make the save.

WWE have at least undone much of the damage inflicted on Bayley's gimmick by damaging losses to Bliss in 2017, by - imagine this - having her win most of her matches. She should, in storyline and reality, be rewarded for this by being moved into something of greater significance in time for SummerSlam.
