Most wrestling fans would agree that the wrong man won this match between Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. On top of that, most if not all members of the WWE Universe would have been just fine if this match never took place at all.

After being the most unwatchable part of the WWE product for months, it looked like Michael Cole was finally going to get his comeuppance via his broadcast colleague. The King, who was enjoying a mini career resurgence, would have been more than capable of handing Cole a quick beating alongside special guest referee Steve Austin.

As is often the case, WWE decided to go the complete opposite direction in this match. At just under 14 minutes, the fourth longest of WrestleMania 27, fans were put out of their misery when King forced Michael Cole to tap out. However, that was short-lived as one of the worst acts in WWE history, the Anonymous Raw General Manager disqualified Lawler, giving Cole the win. While this match had arguably no business taking place at all, the decision to give Michael Cole the win over a wrestling legend like Jerry Lawler is downright baffling.
