13 WWE WrestleMania Matches Where The Wrong Person Won
6. Bray Wyatt Vs. John Cena - WrestleMania 30
WrestleMania has not been kind to Bray Wyatt, as his match with John Cena in 2014 is the first of a trilogy of bouts that the former WWE Champion should have won at The Showcase of the Immortals.
The Eater of Worlds and the leader of the Cenation told an interesting story, with the Wyatt Family trying to turn Cena into a monster and expose his character as being built on lies. This was arguably a re-enactment of Kane’s 'Embrace The Hate' storyline two years prior, but this was different. Wyatt was not a roadblock for John Cena to get to WrestleMania the way Kane was for Cena to get to The Rock. Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family were running roughshod through the entire WWE roster and a win on the Grandest Stage of Them All against the biggest name in the company was the perfect way to cement their dominance.
Even if Wyatt was going to lose to Cena, that was not necessarily the goal. If The Eater of Worlds forced the legendary Cena to embrace his dark side, it would have been just as big a win for Wyatt as if he had pinned his shoulders to the mat. None of that happened however, as Cena resisted the temptation, dispatched The Wyatt Family, and pinned their leader with a single AA.
