13 WWE Wrestlers With The Most PPV Main Events

4. Shawn Michaels - 40 PPV Main Event Appearances

The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels first main evented in 1989, at that year's Survivor Series. His final ever main event came in 2010, when he was retired by The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26. That twenty year longevity enabled him to rack up an impressive forty main event appearances, despite never really making it as the top draw guy. He did have a long run with the WWF title in 1996, but unfortunately he wasn't the commercial success that the WWF needed. Critically he was an absolute star, the best wrestler ever, but he wasn't quite the top draw to truly sustain a main event berth. Nevertheless, he did close out several WrestleMania shows, including the ultra successful WrestleMania 23. However, those 1.2 million buys that year were more attributable to Vince McMahon's hair versus hair match with Donald Trump.
