The feud he had with Stone Cold Steve Austin in the late nineties was one of the most successful draws in company history, including a show closer at SummerSlam 1998. His next major run came as the face of Smackdown in the 2000's. He contested main events with the likes of Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle, including one of the best matches of the entire decade at No Way Out 2006 with Angle. By the end of that decade, he was widely regarded as the biggest legend in company history. His WrestleMania accomplishments include several show closers, all of which he won.
