13 WWE Wrestlers With The Most PPV Main Events

11. Chris Jericho - 22 PPV Main Event Appearances

Chris Jericho arrived on the WWE scene with an instant impact in 1999. He was a rare talent that was equally good on the mic as he was in the ring. It was obvious (unless you're WCW) that he had what it took to main event pay per view shows. His first main event was at King Of The Ring 2001, in a triple threat with Stone Cold Steve Austin and Chris Benoit. Later that year, he defeated The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin in the same night, closing the Vengeance pay per view as the first ever Undisputed WWE Champion. That run ended with him main eventing WrestleMania X8 against Triple H. Unfortunately it was a disaster, with the earlier Rock vs Hogan match having sucked out much of the crowd's energy. There were sporadic main events after that, like SummerSlam 2003, but Jericho largely settled into a mid card spot for a few years following his dismal Mania experience. He then came back strong in 2007 after a couple of years away. He rekindled a main event career, working some absolute classics with Shawn Michaels.
