14 Biggest Pops In WWE History

13. The Tribe Of Extreme Finally Get Payback - ECW One Night Stand 2006

Only a year and a half earlier, the true disconnect between WWE bobblehead John Cena and the mature wrestling audience would become properly manifest at the second annual WWE stab at running an old school ECW pay-per-view, 2006€™s One Night Stand event. Cena had been getting rough reactions for about a year by this point, since his series with Chris Jericho the previous June. He€™d known the partisan ECW-loyal crowd at the Hammerstein Ballroom would be rough; to them he represented everything that was not ECW in professional wrestling, and he was facing the poster boy for Extreme Championship Wrestling, Rob Van Dam, for the WWE championship. Cena entered the ring with the expression of a man in hostile territory€ but he couldn€™t have been expecting this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktCg4Mb-m_8 Trying the traditional babyface move of tossing his shirt into the crowd, the crowd tossed it back. For twenty minutes, every attempt at offence from Cena was met with a cacophony of boos and abuse€ and when (with a little opportunistic assistance) RVD scored the pinfall, the New York ECW faithful went ballistic. It€™s hands down the greatest moment of Van Dam€™s career, and one of the most notoriously embarrassing moments of John Cena€™s career.
