I think I naturally assumed that Heath Slater's new stable of enhancement talent misfits would be heels because... well, they are all heels aren't they? Slater's been a delusional jobber heel for most of his career, Bo Dallas has been a comedy heel since debuting on the main roster, Adam Rose turned heel in October, and Curtis Axel... ah, who knows. Axel's still in last year's Royal Rumble as far as I'm concerned. But they took it to the Wyatt Family last night like they were the Shield, if the Shield were reincarnated as a bunch of losers. For their part, the Wyatts seemed nonplussed, like massive school bullies who just got a slap off the kid they were trying to flush down the toilet... and that's kind of the point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bgpJdUTE-c I have no idea whether this is an ongoing plan, or whether, like every other idea they've tried on these guys, it'll fizzle and die. But I love the idea of Social Outcasts being this gang of jobbers who decided that they might still get beaten, but they wouldn't get beaten down anymore. If you think about it, this is a group of guys who always lose, always get punked out, always get made examples of by main eventers looking to make a statement. They don't have anything to lose by standing up, and they don't have anything to be afraid of.
What are you gonna do, beat us up? Everyone beats us up. What else you got?
See, that's an attitude that a wrestling crowd can get behind. After months or years of abandoned angles and derailed pushes, that's a gimmick these four failures could actually get over.
