14 Missed Opportunities In The Undertaker's WWE Career

6. 7 Of 22 Streak Matches Against The Same Opponents

The streak is a wonderful achievement, but perhaps The Undertaker regrets just how much repetition took place in the lineage. Seven of his twenty-two Mania efforts came against the same opponents. He worked Kane twice, Shawn Michaels twice, and Triple H a staggering three times. Now those matches were in the main very good. The first Michaels bout was arguably the best WWE match ever, and the second one wasn't far behind. As for the Triple H matches, it is hard to pick which one was best, all three were that fantastic. The Kane bouts weren't great, but the storyline build was important to both Mania 15 and Mania 20. So you can't really replace those bouts, but at the same time, it was a missed opportunity to not put Taker in unique matches. He could potentially have had four fresh matches instead of repeats.
